  We live in interesting times. Trump revives the Monroe Doctrine by pointing out that if our overseas enemies can have allies at our doorstep, they will use these proxies to try to destroy us, a legitimate fear which goes back to before the Zimmerman Telegram and the Spanish-American War. Even more, if we cut the wings of the Russo-Chinese Empire now by shearing off their allies like Venezuela and possibly Iran, we will avoid a much bigger war in the future, especially since we know they are interfering in our political system. Trump made the case that fentanyl was a weapon of mass destruction, and used that legal basis to justify removing the people who were aggressively shipping it into the country. History will remember this well and will recall that the Domino Effect was proven in Ukraine and Taiwan, and that now we are ready to defend against passive-aggressive threats as well as unconcealedly aggressive ones.
