It calls on us to prepare for the uncomfortable fact that peace and cooperation may not be other nations’ goals.

  As hard reductionist realists for decades, we can only celebrate this movement toward realism.

  To a Boomer, justice consists of doing whatever the self desires to the exclusion of all else. To a realist, however, that approach misses out on the beauty of existence as a whole and the ability for the individual to exist within it in a state of harmony with it.
