I am sad to hear through the grapevine that Colin Flaherty, who wrote White Girl Bleed A Lot and continued journalistic coverage of the open race war on our diverse streets, has passed away.

Colin and I corresponded over the years, worked on a book together, and mutually respected each other for our different takes on the Diversity Question. I hope he is at peace and with the ancient gods who will celebrate his bravery and honesty.
