Because some are still confused about this: you have diversity because of socialism.

Socialism means [worker] “ownership of the means of production,” which translates to workers as shareholders in the businesses at which they work. Never mind that they can purchase shares for one week’s worth of beer, lottery tickets, smokes, and television.

The current rhetoric about “stakeholder interests” simply gives this a new name, as Leftists do whenever their scam is discovered, because their con-job is always to take from the productive and give to everyone else for those warm happy illusory feelings of togetherness.

Wealth redistribution programs called “entitlements” like Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Obamacare, EMTALA, public schooling, school lunches, welfare, and HUD all take from the taxpayer and give to the 47% who pay nothing.

Benefits promised to the Baby Boomer generation bankrupted the West, and embracing diversity was the “hail Mary pass” designed to keep taxes high, as our government admits in official documents few read or can understand:

Two factors account for the projected growth in the government’s three largest entitlement programs: the aging of the population and the rapid growth of per capita health care costs.

The retirement of the baby-boom generation (the large group of people born between 1946 and 1964) portends a long-lasting shift in the age profile of the U.S. population. That shift will substantially alter the balance between the population’s working-age and retirement-age segments. The share of people age 65 or older is projected to grow from 13 percent in 2008 to 20 percent in 2035, while the share of people ages 20 to 64 is expected to fall from 60 percent to 55 percent. In later decades, the aging of the population will continue — but at a slower rate — because of increasing life expectancy.

Europe faced the same problem, as did the UK, so the bureaucrats came up with the same solution: if tax intake is going to fall, we need to find more taxpayers. Never mind that they could cut spending; the voters would scream if their entitlements were taken away, so that was risky.

Now we are headed toward budget collapse at federal, state, municipal, and local levels across the West. Diversity did not stop the debt bomb from coming our way, but rather accelerated it. No one will do anything until governments start defaulting on their debt.

Most likely, that will set off a chain reaction that destabilizes all governments, and the ensuing chaos will kick off a big ol’ war. But, the voters wanted free stuff, and they wanted tomorrow to pay for yesterday, so now they will see the bomb whose fuse they lit eighty years ago.
