Kanye West, who may not be your favorite person but has repeatedly demonstrate an uncanny ability to put his finger on the pulse of the coming moment, just posted a new song, “HEIL HITLER,” which includes a video of Black men wearing animal skins chanting “Heil Hitler, Nigga.”

Yes, reality has truly hit the point of absurdity, but this is the point. West wants to signal out-of-band; that is, he wants to say something beyond all discourse and social boundaries. He wants to scream FUCK YOU at society and reject all of it.

This makes sense to me. Many of us saw this in black metal. Rather than try to argue that we served a higher good of some kind, black metal rejected good entirely. Whatever this society likes, must burn, it said. A giant middle finger to the concepts behind our world.

We are entering an age of sea change in which the pursuit of symbolic good has been replaced with the pursuit of functional utility. This is as big as our ancestors abandoning rain gods and golden idols in order to worship an abstraction of the divine.

Black metal wanted to go back to the start of “good” and “evil” and burn down that division, so it embraced evil, which is another way of rejecting the symbolic binary in favor of the realistic assessment. Good is what produces good results; “evil” is a scapegoat for our mistakes.

West wanted to project absolute rejection of the modern time and its founding principles, which required embracing evil as a means of doing away with the symbolic division between good and evil. You might think he is following Nazi ideals, but he is pursuing blasphemy, heresy, and apostasy against the human cult of easy answers and moralizing symbols instead.

Turning the cross upside-down is not the petit rebellion of the Boomers, where you are trying to find an exception or hypocrisy in what your parents do so you can stop following the rules. Blasphemers want to replace the rules with something more realistic.

The problem with the church is that it is a proxy for reality. The instant you set one of those up — a boss, a law, a test, a symbol — it becomes a replacement for reality, and after that, humans use it to expand their personal power by rationalizing their desires as being fulfillment of the proxy.

If Jesus and Buddha had a point to make, it was that you need to focus on goals and results, not methods and obedience to religious mandates. They were heretics who rejected the easy answers of their days which are surprisingly similar to the cope-hope we have today.

Jews back then thought Jesus should stop with his radical interpretation and focus on converting all Jews to the current wisdom of Talmudic scholars. Instead he said “Heil Hitler, Nigga” and doubled-down on the Greco-Roman ideals lurking behind both Judaism and Christianity.

West recognizes like many of us that modern life has become unbearable. We are cucks who pay half our income in taxes, give half our estates to our divorcing wives, follow thousands of tiny rules, are terrified of offending, and live out days of doing bullshit to satisfy others.

We do all of this stuff because it radiates from the fundamental idea of doing “good.” Instead of paying attention to what works and what does not, we have made ourselves livestock to subsidize what is not working so that no human is left behind.

West wants to reject the entire Judaic idea of “good” and “evil,” he wants to reject sacred victims, and he wants to reject modern society. We are ready for something better, but to get there, we must burn bones on the altar of the illusions of the past.

He sees that trying to protect the weak from the strong, which is the Jewish ideal, creates a tyranny of the weak who are by nature opposed to reality, therefore create disaster wherever they go. Most of the song is about the courts not letting him see his kids… “protecting” them.

The point of sending an out-of-band signal through total transgression is this rejection of the assumptions of the past. When we get beyond the symbolic world of good and evil, rationalism, and pity, what is left? Only grim Nietzschean reality.

This does not reject religion, interestingly enough. It rejects any religion which contradicts observable and consistent reality. It rejects the Jewish modification to the Greeks in which the gods judged by an Apollonian abstraction unrelated to life Earth.

As Nietzsche pointed out, that kind of mentality — like the one that demands equality! — is based in self-pity, resentment, and revenge on reality itself. They hate reality, so they construct a symbolic world in which human desires are more important than results in the world.

Many of us might be properly described, much as we are anti-liberal, as anti-Judaic or better yet anti-Abrahamist. We believe in the religious ideal, but not the moralizing that dominated it like Leftism dominated environmentalism.

In our world, the gods do not judge. They act like forces of nature. What matters for us humans is not the means-over-ends regulation of methods we can use, like killing people, but the results. If you kill a destructive person, the result is good, for example.

Ye realizes on some level what is coming. The world dedicated to moral abstractions has failed with the postwar order and diversity. We are now in the sea change of moving toward celebrating what works instead of what values every single human.

A “cuck” — apparently the name of the upcoming West album is Cuck — is a man who is constrained by the method of marriage even though its purpose (love, unity, respect, family) has been sabotaged by the promiscuity of the woman.

I cannot claim to understand hip-hop, Black culture, Kanye West, or the Black experience in the West, but I understand the desire for transgressive blasphemy. The system is rotted because its ideas are rotted, so those ideas must be inverted and torn down with violence.
