Regime Change is Coming Because They Fear Us

Regime Change is coming; democracy spent itself into oblivion and killed off its citizens. This means that it has failed and everyone who is not brain-dead wants a change. This has not been unnoticed by the bureaucracy, who hope to survive this transition through censorship:

Dubbed “chat control,” the scheme inevitably entails mass surveillance of private communications—targeting one sort of content for the moment, though it’s difficult to see how that would long remain limited in any way.

Danish Minister of Justice Peter Hummelgaard, a proponent of surveillance, commented, “We must break with the totally erroneous perception that it is everyone’s civil liberty to communicate on encrypted messaging services.”

Current proposals would make private companies liable for the content of their customers’ communications, leaving them to choose how to mitigate their legal liability—with scanning messages a likely choice.

In the name of protecting the youth — shades of the trial of Socrates 2400 years ago — they want real ID on internet sites. In the name of protecting the children, they want a backdoor into any encrypted message. The justification is protection of children, but the motivation is staving off regime change.

This shows how little the bureaucrats understand. Their problem is not active agitation against The System, but that so few people have faith The System that no one expects it to survive. No amount of censorship, as in the Soviet Union, can overcome a lack of faith.

Regime Change is upon us, and democracy is in decline, which may save us from its continued attempts to destroy us.
