What if they have been lying to you for a thousand years?

Societies die when the middle classes take over. They do this because they have been made prosperous, therefore must invent some reason why it was their own doing and not the “rising tide lifting all boats,” so they invent guilt for “inequality” and use it as an excuse to take over.

Middle classes, properly understood, are from both the Carl and Thrall castes. The Carls are the artisans and warriors, and the Thralls are the shopkeepers and clerks. They do not have the intelligence quotient for wisdom that aristocrats have.

Given time, they take society down the same path: equality under law, democracy, socialism, and finally, diversity. Then having ruined their society, they focus as usual on reactive and relative competition with others, ignoring the ruins around them.

For the last thousand years, we have gone down this path, and now are trying to decide if we want to reverse it.
