Defecation

Most of what gets talked about on this site is not controversial: a mix of environmentalism, Darwinism, and Platonic monism. None of this stuff is that far out, but we lose the audience by talking about overpopulation and monarchism sometimes.

However, the area where we differ — and not in the way internet pundits do, by adopting quirky theories to stand out from the crowd — is in the root analysis. Following the Platonic model, we trace effect to cause and then infer the parallel between psychology, behavior, and results.

The most controversial of those is the notion that individualism vs transcendence is the core battle of every civilization, souled individual, and culture: we either aim for a holistic vision of what is excellent, or we fall into bickering for our own individual desires.

The individualist never has to change his desires to fit what is both realistic and leads to excellence; he simply asserts another reality, formed of humans including both himself and his social group, that is “higher” than physical function and aiming for excellence.

Humans can never seem to defeat the gremlins of crime, corruption, and passive-aggressive bullying because we have never rejected the philosophy at their core, derived from solipsism, which is more than “me first”; it is “my reality is more important than whole reality.”

Individualists specialize in picking apart our world, looking at little bits of it, and declaring those to symbolize the whole and therefore, theorize that we can project those back onto the whole and have our symbols control everything.

That is social thinking, as in socializing with your friends, your social group, social media, and whether the lads at the pub cheer for the witty thing you just said. The social is comprised of the group and the status of the individual within it.

That status is not individuality but rather its opposite. If you depend on the group for your status, you are enslaved to the whims of the group; the Metallica Problem kicks in and the leader is shaped by what the group can understand, which means per the DKE the leader is only as smart as the largest group of dumb people in the constituency. This applies to social groups as well as democracies, committees, rock bands, church boards, CEOs, shareholders, and peer review.

It then spreads through the Pantera Problem, which is “monkey see, monkey do”: once one person or group seems to be succeeding (i.e. the short-term view) everyone else imitates them, even if in the long term this produces disaster or mediocrity (two shades of the same color).

In this way, individualism is like a nail on the wall; if you drag your hand past it, it will split the skin to the wrist in an instant. It takes longer for civilizations, but over time the cretinous power of individualism, which is always popular with the Crowd, creates massive decay.

No one will talk about individualism, just like almost no one will talk about overpopulation (and those that do embrace “soft” solutions like free condoms in kindergarten).

Individualism forms the pathology of every stupid person, every resentful person, the third world, the diseased, the disabled, those with deleterious mutations, and the self-pitying. It is not “evil” in the grandiose Judeo-Christian-Islamic sense, but the absence of aspiring to holistic excellence.

Individualism is the root disease behind all mental health problems, criminality, opportunism, manipulation, narcissism, sociopathy, psychopathy, dark traits, and abusive personalities. These are motivated by resentment and driven by a need to seek control so that the individual does not have to change its thinking, all so that it can regulate its mental state and emotions.

Thinking is defined here as Bruce Charlton and Nick Land do it, and as the guys at the “Genius Forums” did years ago: actual engagement with the world in a mythological imagination that sees the possibilities of rearranging common patterns into something more function.

Thinking is evolution, just of the organization of information, and it only works when based on the parallels between the world and intuition in healthy people. Individualism denies intuition in order to get along with the social group in order to have status so that the individual does not need to change his thinking.

Most of the human world is spattered with feces. The resulting microbial diseases keep civilizations in a primitive state or destroy those which have risen above. Open defecation — in the vernacular “street shitting” — is a path to decay of society and the individual alike.

Yet it remains popular. Why? To an individualist, no act conveys greater power than shitting in the street. Others must smell his glorious essence and observe his impressive excretion (as the meme says, every human is a 3D printer, when you think about it).

Even more, someone else has to clean up the mess. The individualist feels a great sense of power with this. He got to steal the time required to clean up from others, misdirecting them toward useless labor, while they know that he is the master who can shit on the street and make others clean it up (or, in too much of the world, simply endure it before dying young of accumulated fecal transmission microbe load).

Think of the slaves, he would say. They defecate, and then have to clean it up. But he, a genius, can simply find some unoccupied place and blast away, then make others his slaves while they clean it up or suffer under it. He is so wise and powerful, a god on Earth!

Soon, everyone else does a Pantera defecation. Why bother cleaning up your ordure when no one else does? Same the time. Just make your manure mountain and go on about your life, unbothered by having to change your thinking to deal with reality.

You may be checking your phone obsessively while you do it but the cause is not your phone. The phone does not challenge your mental state; it is entertainment provided by others for you, god-king-ruler of the universe, while you 3D print statuary of your ego.

Humanity fails not by seeking out demons, but by avoiding reality and falling into individualism instead. At that point, the sea of feces rises and soon swallows up whatever civilization and hope we have left.
