There really is no point beginning these articles with “this will be unpopular, buttt…” because we all know that human groups focus on conflict avoidance, compromise, and therefore, short term symbolic activity instead of long-term solutions. Humans are pathological reality-denying monkeys.

However, these warnings tend to prepare you for the twilight zone that exists outside the human fiction that we are in control. We are not in control of much of anything, barely even our own minds and choices, so people project the idea that we are in control and have absolute answers when nothing of the kind is actual.

In the real world, very little fits into neat categories, equivalencies, and moral binaries. Instead there are only cause-effect relationships and our choices regarding them, most of which involves experience and not theory beyond first principles.

One of the important cause-effect relationships is Darwinism. If something exists, it survived enough to breed, but that does not necessarily mean it will continue to do so. What we choose to allow to survive however determines what our future will be.

We are entering a new age in which liberal democracy will join National Socialism, Communism, Fascism, and Theocracy in the dustbin of history. It has made horrors which were slower and subtler but even more pervasive than the damage from Fascism or Socialism. Democracy is a civilization-ender.

In this new era, taking citizenship for granted will be a thing of the past. Societies will not have trials about crimes, but about whether or not they want to keep certain people around. There will probably be, like in a city-state, a yearly citizenship fee in lieu of taxes.

Imagine for example a society without property taxes or sales taxes in which there was a citizenship fee of $10,000 per family member per year. You pay less, but everyone pays less, and you basically drive the poorer citizens out of the nation to cheaper third-world places instead.

This encourages wealthier families to have more kids, and poorer families to have fewer, and also means that no one votes who does not pay. It also enables society to remove anyone who cannot earn that amount of money or refuses to pay it, but also reaps massive savings in reduced bureaucracy.

Maybe some people get given permanent freedom from citizenship tax if they have done something great for society, like fought off an enemy or cured a vile disease. Certainly it would make sense for sponsors to adopt the citizenship fees of great philosophers, artists, writers, and warriors (but not the mediocre ones).

The main utility of a citizenship fee however will be in weeding out the insane. People who cannot get their act together to assemble ten grand over a year will be moved on. The schizoids, neurotics, conflict-driven personalities, and other parasites will leave us, and our genetic health will improve each year.

Trials in this society will take the form of asking whether someone belongs among us. The kid who wets the bed, tortures animals, and sets fires — the “Macdonald triad” that predicts lifetime abusers — can simply be voted off the island.

In the same way, a kid who commits his first serious sex assault at fifteen no longer goes through a justice system. We recognize instead that he is a threat to women for the rest of his life and his character will never change, so we simply vote him off the island. Build the wall for real and send him to Mexico.

Those who pay attention to genetics know that character is inborn and does not change, therefore some people are good, most are middling, and some are bad. The bad need to be removed every generation through a civilizational defecation. We have to poop out the bad DNA and keep the good and indeterminate.

Every really nasty criminal, manipulator, or narcissist through history has revealed these traits early on. Our passive society waits for them to get caught doing something really bad, after they have left a trail of victims and collateral damage. Better to just recognize what they are and blow them out the back door.

In every generation, maybe a fifth of the kids are born bad. Gene drift, unwise parentage, excessive inbreeding, outbreeding, and maybe something supernatural results in the production of some people who will be excessively selfish and victimize others throughout their lives.

When citizenship is guaranteed, we keep these people around, but when civilizational defecation is a possibility, we send them on and enjoy their departure. The gene pool gets more competent and we weed out the mutations that over time make us weaker, less sane, more indecisive, and less healthy.

This is of course a hard sell. You find it difficult to tell a parent that one of their kids is a waste human and needs to be ejected like the genetic poo it is. You encourage them to have big families. On the plus side, they do not need to pay a citizenship fee for the exiled defectives.
