  • DeSantis: Florida voters shouldn’t ‘monkey this up’ by voting for Gillum

“Let’s build off the success we’ve had on Gov. Scott. The last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda with huge tax increases bankrupting the state. That is not going to work,” DeSantis said.

Humans are forever going to use monkeys as a metaphor for simplistic solutions that reward immediate time-preference over long-term focus. In this case, he was describing socialism, not a person. Was it “racist”? Maybe — it is hard to read the human heart — but equally likely not. The Left however are going to have a tantrum because that is what unhappy, neurotic people do.

  • How Online Media Companies Are Suppressing Conservative Speech

War is being declared on the conservative movement in this space and conservatives are losing — badly. If the right is silenced, billions of people will be cut off from conservative ideas and conservative media.

This article summarizes many of the recent attempts by social media to censor conservatives. I suggest that instead, we simply let them have social media as it is, and develop our own. The Left benefit from our presence on topics other than politics, so let us deprive them of that benefit and force them to watch their own hug-box echo chamber hive minds collapse, just like their economies and social systems every time someone is foolish enough to implement them.

  • Logged off: meet the teens who refuse to use social media

One 2017 survey of British schoolchildren found that 63% would be happy if social media had never been invented. Another survey of 9,000 internet users from the research firm Ampere Analysis found that people aged 18-24 had significantly changed their attitudes towards social media in the past two years. Whereas 66% of this demographic agreed with the statement “social media is important to me” in 2016, only 57% make this claim in 2018. As young people increasingly reject social media, older generations increasingly embrace it: among the 45-plus age bracket, the proportion who value social media has increased from 23% to 28% in the past year, according to Ampere’s data.

…According to a study by US marketing firm Hill Holliday of Generation Z – people born after 1995 – half of those surveyed stated they had quit or were considering quitting at least one social media platform. When it comes to Gen Z’s relationship to social media, “significant cracks are beginning to show”, says the firm’s Lesley Bielby.

Generation X and the Boomers are still stuck in the idea that social media is this new thing. To anyone who came along later, however, it just like daytime television: what people waste their lives on while doing pointless adult things. People are getting offline as it becomes another controlled information source, or going to more anarchic places like free speech sites or chaos interzones like 4chan.

  • College Board’s SAT exam may have been leaked ahead of test

“I checked on Twitter and so many people had taken screenshots,” Hassan told the LA Times. “I looked it up and it was the same exam. It had the exact same questions and it had the answer key.”

This sort of thing is common in Asia. Without a majority culture dedicated to fairness, we have a nasty society comprised of constant infighting and struggling over official hoop-jumping so that people can inherit sinecures and then never take any effective action within them. This great cash-in will lead us to third world levels of dysfunction.

  • Germany reels as far-right ‘mobs’ go on rampage

“Of course history is not repeating itself, but that a far-right mob is on a rampage in the middle of Germany and the authorities are overwhelmed, is reminiscent of the situation during the Weimar Republic,” noted Spiegel Online.

History is repeating itself. When you undertake the same actions, like forcing Leftism on a population despite it failing, you introduce the same problems, which by human nature bring up the same reactions. They fought the Napoleonic Wars and WW1 to bring democracy to Europe, and now we are seeing — again — that democracy is unstable and brings about terrible leadership, divided societies, and narcissistic people.

  • Russia’s ‘unprecedented’ military drills shows they are preparing for war

Russia will flex its military muscles next month and hold the biggest war games since the Cold War era, with almost 300,000 troops and 1,000 aircraft.

We are refighting the Mongol wars now. Eastern Europe, or “Eurasia” as it was known in more honest times, is divided between Europe and Asia in terms of loyalties. Since Eurasia will only be stable when both West and East are under its control, it aims to subjugate the West and serve as vassal to the East until the East, much like the Mongol empire, collapses under its own tyranny.

  • China is helping Afghanistan set up mountain brigade to fight terrorism

Sources close to the Chinese military earlier told the Post that China had funded and started building a training camp for Afghan troops in Afghanistan’s isolated Wakhan Corridor – a narrow strip of inhospitable and barely accessible land extending about 350km from the northern Afghan province of Badakhshan to China’s Muslim region of Xinjiang.

While the West fetuses out about how many genders there are or whether we have enough minorities in power, the East is advancing its own military interests by projecting power around the region. The West is countering, belatedly, by projecting sea power (in response to Chinese expansion) which will squeeze the Chinese into more expensive land wars.

  • University of Limpopo students refuse to write difficult exam

In videos that went viral on social media, hundreds of students from the University of Limpopo (UL) can be seen exiting a lecture hall because the exam they were set to write was ‘too difficult’.

To most of the world, public positions exist to benefit the individual. The goal is to get to the position and then start raking in the cash associated with the privileges entailed. This type of corruption holds back most of the world; the West oriented itself instead toward results, and made systems where individuals were expected to achieve results. This system does not work universally, but only for us in the West, and as societies become diverse, it breaks down and those societies revert to their ancestral method of sinecure corruption.

  • Theresa May Announces Support For South African ‘No Compensation’ Land Reform

In a statement on Tuesday, Mrs May said: “The UK has for some time now supported land reform. Land reform that is legal, that is transparent, that is generated through a democratic process. It’s an issue that I raised and discussed with President Ramaphosa when he was in London earlier this year. I’ll be talking about it with him later today.”

Politicians under democracy make terrible decisions because they understand democracy literally as the need for pluralism, or making people with contrary interests tolerate each other. Theresa May knows how to succeed in Western liberal democracy, which means giving to minority interests what they want at the expense of the majority, since this will advance equality. In the long term, it also destroys the society, but that has zero relevance to her career.

  • Texan says he’s selling 3D-printed gun plans after ruling

The owner of a Texas company that makes untraceable 3D-printed guns said Tuesday that he has begun selling the blueprints through his website to anyone who wants to make one, after a federal court order barred him from posting the plans online.

Cody Wilson said at a news conference that he started selling the plans Tuesday morning and that he had already received nearly 400 orders. He said he’ll sell the plans for as little as a penny to anyone in the U.S. who wants them.

Free speech rears its ugly head. CAD plans to make guns are simply very detailed plans that you can plug into a computer. Plastic guns of this type threaten almost no one since they are not very durable. However, facing a rapidly disintegrating society, American politicians want to prevent people from having unlicensed weapons. Just wait until the first backyard CAD fabrication shops appear that can make these out of metal. Hackers are going to win, of course, because information wants to be free.

  • Chicago cop: Murder charge in McDonald shooting is political

“I think there’s been a lot of external political pressures,” he said. “It just seems like politics has been involved with this since the beginning.”

Under diversity, everything is political because we are constantly fighting for equal among unequal groups. If a white kid had done the same thing, he would be just as dead.

  • Where are blacks, women? Living history museums rethink past

Old Sturbridge Village has received a $75,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities it will use to partner with scholars and other consultants for a multiyear study into how it portrays four areas: agriculture and food, civics, industry and economy, and race and gender.

At the behest of government, and in the name of “equality,” we are re-writing history in order to erase the founding group from this country and replace it with a Leftist ideal of sexless, raceless, and cultureless people. Those make the best Leftist voters, after all.

  • Fifth of 14-year-old girls in UK ‘have self-harmed’

A survey of 11,000 children found 22% of the girls and 9% of the boys said they had hurt themselves on purpose in the year prior to the questionnaire.

Rates of self-harm were worst (46%) among those who were attracted to people of the same or both genders.

In our democratic Utopia, why are most people miserable, and why do so few people talk about the reasons why? Self-harm joins drug abuse, promiscuity, alcoholism, divorce, suicide, school shootings, and other signs of a self-destructive pathology here in the West that is increasing. If equality brings us Utopia, why are so many people so miserable?

  • Air pollution causes ‘huge’ reduction in intelligence, study reveals

Air pollution causes a “huge” reduction in intelligence, according to new research, indicating that the damage to society of toxic air is far deeper than the well-known impacts on physical health.

It found that high pollution levels led to significant drops in test scores in language and arithmetic, with the average impact equivalent to having lost a year of the person’s education.

The primary purpose of this article seems to be to conflate education with intelligence, which is obviously nonsense as reaching higher levels of education requires intelligence above the norm. The bigger point is that people subjected to air pollution — a feature of modern civilization — become befuddled and unable to think clearly. This has extreme effects in China, where pollution is skyrocketing thanks to decades of industrial pollution, something for which communist societies are known which seems to arise from their economic model.

  • It Is a Challenging Time for the Internet: We Must Not Let It Be Undermined

This environment has produced a golden opportunity for those who always preferred a sanitized, tightly-controlled utility to the generative, empowering Internet. These forces claim that only national governments, treaties, laws, regulations, and monopolies can protect us from the problems we face. They do not want the extraordinary collaboration of the Internet.

The governments of the US and EU want to control the information sent over social media in order to avoid off-narrative data. This, like the centralization provided by social media itself, removes the “Wild West” nature of the net and replaces it with a “walled garden” that is controlled by central authorities, which is exactly the circumstance the internet was designed to avoid. Industry and government together are collaborating to make the internet as controlled as television was during the Clinton years.

  • Here’s How Much Time You’ll Waste Commuting in Your Lifetime (by City)

Commute times are only getting worse all across the country. In the US, the average worker spends 52.2 minutes a day commuting to and from work, but in many parts of the country, things are even worse. Over the course of just a week, that’s 4.35 hours a week spent commuting.

The great modern life: centralized; utilitarian; uniform! Equality has brought us equal obedience to the State, the whims of the mob, and the economic system designed to keep this afloat. Instead of living in small towns where we know everyone and fit in, we are all strangers driving long distances in order to stay away from the many third world dangers of the mega-city.

  • STDs continue rapid rise in U.S., setting new record, CDC says

In fact, nearly 2.3 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis were diagnosed in the U.S. in 2017, surpassing the record set in 2016 by more than 200,000, CDC scientists reported Tuesday.

CDC researchers found that gonorrhea diagnoses increased by 67 percent — from 333,004 to 555,608 — in just five years.

Happy societies do not behave this way.

  • One in five vulnerable Syrian refugees are rejected by NL because of their views

Some of the most vulnerable refugees living in camps in Turkey have been rejected by the Netherlands because they have extremist sympathies or are too conservative, the Volkskrant reported on Wednesday.

You will not see a clearer illustration of the motives of government in importing these refugees: they want permanent Leftist voters, because they know that the herd has fled Leftism after seeing the horror that the EU has wrought.

  • More than 150 arrested in massive ICE raid in Texas

According to a statement from ICE, “This ongoing investigation began when HSI received information that the company may have knowingly hired illegal aliens, and that many of the aliens employed at Load Trail were using fraudulent identification documents.”

Seems like a small number, until you realize that risks — and thus costs — have been raised for two separate groups. First, for those sneaking into the country, the risk of losing everything with a deportation has increased. Since a coyote costs thousands, they might be deprived of quite a bit of money. Second, the cost has been raised for businesses that hire illegals, since having their work force deported has the same effect as a strike and could put them out of business, since it may take months to hire replacements and in the meantime, they cannot fill orders.
