Nationalist Public Radio, Episode Twelve: Interview With Laura Loomer

Friday, January 5th, 2018

At Nationalist Public Radio, we seek to find interesting people and interview them, even if we are not sure how much we agree. James Price and Brett Stevens interview Laura Loomer, an articulate Zionist nationalist who also believes that white people should have the right to establish their own ethnostate. This interview cuts to the core of what nationalism is, and what it is to love your own people, through a convincing subject who thoroughly knows and understands her political terrain.

Avoiding The Fate Of The Know-Nothings

Sunday, August 27th, 2017

The Alt-Right is in the process of taking over the Republican Party. It’s a hostile takeover to be sure. We’re making inroads with Americans and the Identitarians are shifting the debate on immigration in Europe. However, if the Alt Right is to truly become the mainstream political movement that the Left fears it can become, we must look to history to understand how to avoid the fate of the America Party, otherwise known as the Know-Nothings.

We must develop a coherent message beyond just immigration reform and white identity. Indeed if we are to fully engage white Americans we must understand that much of what concerns them isn’t just immigration, but the effects of immigration. We need to engage with them in terms of economics, as in, we need something to present beyond basic bitch conservative “lower taxes” and “fiscal responsibility,” as if those are anything more than marketing buzzwords. We need to engage with whites when it comes to education, both primary and secondary. We need to have a coherent healthcare solution, or at least the beginning of one. And ultimately, we need some kind of foreign policy for dealing with the Middle East, China, India (the rising power that’s often forgotten) and we need to be ready for a multipolar world where the United States is not the lone superpower.

To make this clearer, look at the difference in the success of President Trump and the failures of Wilders and Le Pen. Trump tied immigration to jobs in the rust belt states and to the need to control our borders. He did not win with immigration alone, but instead made it a part of a comprehensive strategy to “MAGA.” On the other hand Le Pen and Wilders were seen in their respective countries as immigration-only candidates and while it should be noted that Wilders’ Party for Freedom (PVV) did quite well, he did not win his election. Perhaps it will take a second election cycle in Europe for Europeans to embrace anti-immigration and anti-migration platforms, but it won’t happen without incorporating plans for other aspects of the population’s concerns.

White identity will be the defining issue of the next generation of Americans. We cannot afford to lose potential voters, many of whom will be former Democrats or libertarians, because we failed to make a comprehensive and coherent platform centered on issues of practical, real-world importance to whites.

So let’s look at the history of the Know-Nothing Party in the United States to make sure we can avoid their fate. First, they operated as an independent party. That was a little more feasible in the nineteenth century, but America was still effectively controlled by two major parties. The Know-Nothings were the response to rising anti-immigrant sentiment in the 1840s centering on the influx of Catholic Germans and Irish. This is what earned the party the label of anti-Catholic. And indeed this helped them do very well in the 1850s.

But their success was short lived.

The Know-Nothings broke along predictably geographic lines due to the issue of slavery. Anti-slavery members went Republican while pro-slavery members joined the Democrats. But is there an issue such as slavery that defines the twenty-first century? At first glance not really. It would seem the Alt-Right is situated in such a position that no major issue will destroy it. However, this isn’t necessarily true. The Second American New Right, a composite of Alt Right and Alt Lite, is fracturing as we’ve seen at the recent free speech rally in Washington DC, as well as at other rallies around the country.

The Alt Lite seems hell-bent on not only distancing themselves from the Alt Right, but by eliminating it from public spaces. The reason though is clear: the Alt Lite isn’t a right wing movement at all. They’re really no different than liberals. In fact you’ll often hear them claiming that they are classical liberals or that they are defending “Western values” but without mentioning that those values are the product of the European people.

The division will come and is in my opinion, already here. The Alt Right is rooted philosophically in a rejection of Enlightenment values such as democracy, equality, universalism, and “human rights.” By contrast, the Alt Lite struggles to hold on to anything other than a pro-Trump vision for the future. The breakup of the New Right will come as soon as the Alt Lite realizes they must either side with the liberals or side with the Alt Right. Civic Nationalism, the proposition nation, and other comfortable compromises are untenable.

As the breakup comes the Alt Right must be prepared to address issues of interest to whites across geographic, economic, and the social spectrum. If we fail to create meaningful policies centered on keeping whites as the majority in America we will find ourselves confined to the dustbin of history. We will find ourselves defending Spanish language debates between the GOP candidate and the Democratic candidate. Or we will find ourselves looking for ways to repatriate to the few countries in Europe that are, for now, resisting demographic replacement.

Should The Real Right Remain Underground?

Thursday, June 29th, 2017

Nick Land over at Outside In cited a tweet by Pax Dickinson about the nature of anonymity in reality-based movements like the Alt Right. He says:

Being non-anonymous in the Right counterculture in 2017 selects for lunatics and charlatans. Our best potential leaders are still anonymous.

Like all broad statements, this one takes some time to think over, especially in the wake of the current drama of Counter-Currents versus AltRight.

In my experience, being an outsider movement invites lunatics and charlatans as leaders, no doubt, but more importantly, as supporters. The audience selects its leader in any system where the leader depends on popularity to survive, and since politics is both a social popularity contest and a type of marketing/advertising adventure that sells a product, those who succeed will be those who find the largest audience, not those who are the most accurate in describing the situation and how to respond to it.

That is the fundamental tension on the Alt Right, as everywhere else in humanity: what is right (or more right) versus what is popular.

If we were to diagram Western Culture over the past thousand years, we would see a steady loss of what is right to what is popular. It started with the mercantile bourgeois middle class, undoubtedly, but then expanded into full-on prole revolt as the carnies, baristas and housemaids took up the same ideology that the educated college students did.

Dickinson has a point in that honesty is still taboo. You cannot expect people to publicly tolerate you if you say, for example, that we need to deport everyone who is not a Western European, and then thoroughly purge the remaining group to avoid degeneracy. It is not sociable to tell black people and Asians you want to ship them home, or to point out that the Irish, Italians and Slavs wrecked American politics by being diversity of a white kind.

Nope, what wins is what sells, and what sells is what people already want to believe. They want to believe that everyone can be included, and if they go “racialist,” this means they want to include anyone with a semi-plausible claim on being “white,” which they interpret as skin color and not heritage (so Derek Jeter, Martin Gore and Pete Wentz are welcome).

Humanity is a closed-circuit self-confirming bias machine. We get a notion in our heads, and then see tunnel vision until we can select enough data to fit the theory (instead of selecting a theory to fit the data) at which point we project our notions back onto the world and assume that we are correct because other people agree with us.

The Alt Lite is entirely comprised of people in the grips of this process. They want to believe that “normal” life can carry on, if we — as the clickbait headlines have it — just do this One Thing! For the Alt Lite, the one thing is cultural libertarianism. For the white nationalists, it is racism. For the Communists, it is wealth redistribution. For the Christians, it is come to Jesus and work even harder at your pointless job.

All of these are wrong.

All are obviously wrong, but you should be suspicious when you see how popular they are.

All are wrong both at the broadest level, mainstream politics, and the narrowest, underground politics.

People are the same in both groups. They pursue what is convenient for their minds, even if inconvenient for their bodies. Whatever makes them feel mentally comfortable about the world and their place in it, they turn into a religion, which is really what an ideology is. Ideology is the idea that “we should” do something a certain way, and then everything will turn out Just Fine in the best of the bourgeois reality-denial tradition.

In this way, we can see that the problem is people pandering to the audience, in addition to the question of anonymity. (Some of) the best writers choose to stay anonymous because they do not have to please any audience. That way, they can write what they see as true and not care if it is popular or not. They also do not face having their lives destroyed by a vengeful Crowd triggered by their words.

But on a larger level, the Alt Right is dividing. On one side are the mass culture people who rely on stuff like 4chan and Reason.com for their opinions. They want something that is emotionally satisfying. On the other side are the people concerned with real-world solutions. They are more likely to read The Wall Street Journal and RealClearPolitics than 4chan or Reddit, and they want ideas that are consistent with history which offer solutions to us.

This is the group I have pioneered since the early 1990s. My idea was to apply realistic theory, like de Tocqueville, Huntington, Nietzsche and Wolfe to the ideas of the Right. This has continually been thwarted by people who offer non-solutions that seem interesting to a large group of people who are merely projecting. My previous sites like American Nihilist, CORRUPT and the LNSG took these positions.

Now it seems the Right is catching up, both mainstream and underground. Ann Coulter is talking about ethnic homogeneity; the Alt Right is discussing the possibilities of monarchy. These are interesting times we live in!

The actual movement that we are part of is bigger than the Alt Right or mainstream Right. We are part of the worldwide cultural wave that wants to replace the Enlightenment™-derived order with a realistic or consequentialist one. We realize that in the hands of the herd, every human endeavor gets dumbed down and destroyed, so we want “out” of the herd game.

This joins together many people. The teenage goths at the mall. The disaffected academics and writers. The everyday Joe who realizes that Amerika ain’t America anymore. Benjamin Netanyahu realizes that he better kicks the Palestinians out, or they’ll outbreed the Israeli Jews and take over. Dave and Susan in the cul-de-sac who just want to live in a nice place with nice people like them. We all see the fail.

Hunter Wallace shows us the nature of this organic cultural wave against the philosophy behind modernity:

I think our online counter-culture will grow to a critical mass and it will start spilling out into the real world. As we are already seeing, the ability of Antifas to engage in “no-platforming” through violent confrontations is rapidly being neutralized. Once the threat of physical force is eliminated, we will be able to “platform” and start organizing our disaffected supporters in any region we want, even in bastions of the Left like Berkeley, CA and Washington, DC. The inherent weaknesses of online culture will be washed away by more natural bonds as this scene shifts into the real world.

The “mainstream” political system is unresponsive to our needs. It doesn’t matter who we vote for these days. We seem to get the same policies. That doesn’t mean it is completely useless. Every troll has the power to vote and can wreck “mainstream” primaries and general elections. We can vote for outlandish candidates in order to disrupt “mainstream” culture and weaken the dominant taboos. This is what we did with Trump who in spite of all his failings still managed to inflict great damage on our enemies.

I think the most enjoyable activity is creating families through this alternative culture – matching men with women who share the same ideas, watching them get married and have children. I’ve seen it happen many times now. I’m already watching our children get older. I enjoy building our network across the South and connecting people who share our values and ideas in their local area. In doing so, I am consciously weakening their ties the “mainstream” and reorienting their lives toward our culture.

For those of us in the West, our version of the order is Western European, and with the fall of Europe there is no stronger signal of this than the American South, a WASP-driven, highly Nordic-Germanic style of hierarchical society which had a caste system, its own aristocracy, and a strong culture with distinctive language, customs, values, cuisine and practices of worship.

What will never protect and nurture this — as all culture needs — is democracy, consumerism, and other forms of rule-by-popularity (“demotism”). People in groups make terrible decisions, even if the group is intelligent. Mass culture will only produce horrors. Whatever is popular, is wrong.

The Alt Right, despite being called “populism,” is a revolt against this. We want an end to modernity. We want to go back to natural living, with a natural order and an organic society — arising from people born together, with similar values and abilities — with a natural order that makes consistency of both our spirits and the biological, material world around us.

The risk to us is that we will become assimilated by Leftism through backdoor entry, namely that what is popular today will lead to the idea that “we are all equal” tomorrow, and then we are right back where we started. The Alt Lite is Leftist entryism, but so are elements of the underground Right that insist we are all equal just because we are white-skinned.

If we are going to save ourselves from that fate, it will occur by creating a hierarchy where we have the best and brightest — the opposite of “most popular” — making the decisions and the rest joining in support of them.

Right now, some of our best leaders are anonymous because they realize that public spectacle will always be corrupted by the public and made into the same thing, which starts out looking libertarian but ends up being like the Soviet Union. With Leftism, as with immigration, zero is the number. Any intrusion of the Other leads to our corruption.

And so we see a future for the Alt Right. We are the people who are disconnecting from the herd, and setting up an order which is against the idea of the herd being right at all. We realize that 1789-2016 was the era of liberal democracy and Leftism, and that is has now ended. We see that our people are balkanized. And yet, we are the people building tomorrow from the ashes of today.

How Donald Trump Is Emerging Victorious With An Alt Right Agenda

Wednesday, May 10th, 2017

Recently the controlled press foamed over the “leak” of an image of Steve Bannon standing in front of his “war board,” which contained a list of objectives for the Trump administration. As some commentators mention, it would be ludicrous to imagine that with his background in the military and business, Bannon would accidentally leak this material.

Then we consider that some months ago, the Leftist press was chump-championing the removal of Bannon from the National Security Council or possibly the White House, neither of which turned out to be actually true.

Trump is playing the media as he always has, by creating a non-event that they cannot resist, and then acting silently elsewhere. The media drones, realizing they have been played, save face as best they can by then under-reporting the real activity. This combination of trolling and action gives Trump the initiative with media and the Left — including most Republicans — playing catch-up.

Few people realize how extreme the Trump platform, which is like a Reaganite version of the Alt Right, actually is. He was elected on a combination of reverse identity politics, fiscal conservatism, and what most people are afraid to mention, social conservatism. While Trump is only nominally a conservative, he is a consequentialist, and respects results more than happy feelings and ideology.

As a result, it makes sense to place Trump as a moderate, meaning that he is not committed purely to one side or the other, but his realism controls the pragmatism of “compromise” and “bipartisanship,” which makes the goal to work with the System itself instead of focusing on objectives outside of the System, such as effects on citizens, civilization and the future of the nation.

He has found, however, that a deeply entrenched Establishment controls Washington, D.C., by forcing all participants to work first within the system, and secondarily only toward any kind of purpose. This is how government becomes, as our founding fathers and Plato both noted, a self-serving corporate parasite to the organic civilization beneath it in the power structure.

Populism, if it has any core idea, is based on real-world results for the purpose of strengthening the organic civilization instead of doing what works with the elaborate labyrinth of rules and influences set up by power structures themselves. In other words, power should have purpose, instead of serving itself.

This follows from the shift that Samuel Huntington noted, which is that civilization is moving away from formal orders based on the universality of human individualism, and instead is shifting to informal orders motivated toward organic goals like identity. Liberal democracy is fading away in a cloud of its bad decisions and failures to rectify the perceived problem of previous orders.

While he fascinates the fools in the entrenched politics and media industry with bafflement, Trump is working from the ground up, removing obstacles and establishing policy that will then be challenged, requiring its clarification at a higher level. Instead of trying to chip away at the top of the Obama house of cards, he is undermining its foundations.

In the meantime, he is generating headlines that are either misdirection of our attention like many of his Twitter messages, or show the US pushing back against bad guys who were emboldened by the weak Obama foreign policy. In doing so, Trump recognizes the truth of superpower politics: value of currency comes from strength not just in industry, but in international relations.

As his cover, he is using the Alt Lite style “cultural libertarianism” to provide defensive freedoms to the core of this country, which has always been its Western European descended stock, by enabling them to sidestep demands for more diversity, affirmative action and special interests like baking gay cakes.

Although the pundits both above and underground are shocked and appalled by some of his actions, like the cruise missile strike on Syria, it is slowly settling in that that act was a pushback against the imperial aspirations of other powers, and not an American policy of custodial intervention like the previous war.

Internally, he is focusing on the power he has to make lasting change. This will require not just administrative orders and firing people, but getting his policies set into law through the courts and eventually, legislative change. He knows this will be a long road.

So does the Left, which is why they are dusting off the Reagan-era script and embarking on a policy of sabotage and subversion at every turn. The captive Republicans are joining with them, because both Official Right and Official Left have much to lose if the goal becomes results in reality instead of “working with the System.”

Behind all of these actions lurks the motivation that the Alt Right shares: a sense, from Julius Evola, that the West has collapsed and we need to rebuild by defending both our people and the moral, intellectual and spiritual state of wanting to do first what works best, and to push aside those formal orders like Systems and ideologies that aim to thwart that goal.

While the hoped for wave of populist revolts seems stalled in Europe, this is mostly the result of central European addiction to social benefits states, and is caving as the many policies of the Left simultaneously groan into full failure across Europe. The Trump method, while slower and subtler, sets the stage for the next generation of renovation.

For this reason, the mission of the Alt Right — which currently seems to be languishing in political fatigue — becomes doubly important. The cultural wave must continue to clarify and simplify its message of removing formal and universal order, and replacing it with the organic nation and a focus on consequentialism.

Through these high level principles we can communicate a few general heuristics that people can apply at local and regional levels, seizing control of the ground more than the power structure, and creating upward pressure on that power structure while destabilizing it. In Europe as in the USA, many local and regional offices have gone to those who understand this imperative.

Our ultimate goal remains the same: restoration of Western Civilization through its people, the “remnant” who are not yet wrecked by our downfall. We will have to remove the bad while nurturing the good, and realize that all of the institutions we made have turned against us, and need to be reconquered and redirected.

With this in mind, we finally have the tangible path that most have craved for so long: a pincer attack, removing political obstacles while applying pressure — and incentive, to those who can work toward our goals — from below through a wave of cultural demand for a different type of society than the one in which we currently live.

Contrary to the negativity floating around out there, we live in great and dangerous times, and opportunity is all around us.

“16 Points Of The Alt Right” That Invert The Alt Right Into Leftism

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017

One of the most important experiences in life is to see how good enough is the enemy of good. Most people will settle for good enough, which results in them not only failing to address actual needs, but because they have engaged in surrogate and proxy behavior, concluding that they have fixed a problem which is now strengthened.

The good enough serves to kill off the weak of the enemy, leaving only the strong. And yet, it is more convenient, so people drift toward it like moths to flame, kids to soft drinks, voters to the early stages of Communism, and the like. Whenever you want to actually end a problem, fear the “good enough” like the plague, because it will defeat you.

Vox Day was kind enough to write back a terse reply to a recent Amerika article on the Alt Lite. He writes:

It’s an irrelevant response that completely fails to understand my position. You should try attacking my actual positions: start with the 16 Points.

So, then, let us look at the 16 points:

1. The Alt Right is of the political right in both the American and the European sense of the term. Socialists are not Alt Right. Progressives are not Alt Right. Liberals are not Alt Right. Communists, Marxists, Marxians, cultural Marxists, and neocons are not Alt Right.

While this sounds good on the surface, and in the modern time this is how writers succeed, note what it does not tell you: what the Right actually is. Instead, we have a list of things that are not Alt Right, without attacking the core: Leftism, which is like The Enlightenment™ a type of egalitarianism, and its political counterpart, democracy. Until that rubicon is crossed, the above sounds very Republican with a touch of paleoconservative.

2. The Alt Right is an ALTERNATIVE to the mainstream conservative movement in the USA that is nominally encapsulated by Russel Kirk’s 10 Conservative Principles, but in reality has devolved towards progressivism. It is also an alternative to libertarianism.

This is a misdirection. First, very few conservatives have read Russell Kirk, and most base their conservatism on the mainstream ideas pro-business, free markets, strong defense, pro-Israel, small government, and “muh freedom.” Libertarians are people who hope to hold off Leftism with freedom of association despite that having worked never throughout history. But classical liberalism (libertarianism) and mainstream conservatism both lead to Leftism, as we see in the transition to neoconservatism, because they are still based in the idea of equality. In this view, how is the Alt Right an alternative? Obviously it is not, and therefore, this definition does not fit the Alt Right.

3. The Alt Right is not a defensive attitude and rejects the concept of noble and principled defeat. It is a forward-thinking philosophy of offense, in every sense of that term. The Alt Right believes in victory through persistence and remaining in harmony with science, reality, cultural tradition, and the lessons of history.

There is much to like here, but why is “cultural tradition” used instead of tradition? There is an implication of culture as separate from race, which history shows us is not the case. It also makes sense to clarify what “science” is here, since most “science” seems to have been hijacked by moneyed interests and the Left.

4. The Alt Right believes Western civilization is the pinnacle of human achievement and supports its three foundational pillars: Christianity, the European nations, and the Graeco-Roman legacy.

This unfortunately misses the point on two levels. First, this “pinnacle of human achievement” is a universalist concept that leaves us open to entry by anyone else who can demonstrate some kind of relevance to this pinnacle, which has already failed (again) and left us standing among the ruins. Second, these three pillars miss the point: Western Civilization is Western People, who when they act according to their character create all the other things mentioned. Some points should be given for “the European nations,” which seems to be a refutation of white nationalism, or the idea of melting all white people together into a generic/universal white tribe.

5. The Alt Right is openly and avowedly nationalist. It supports all nationalisms and the right of all nations to exist, homogeneous and unadulterated by foreign invasion and immigration.

It was doing so well until that second sentence. Nationalism should be defined here: what is a nation and how does it relate to ethnic group and race? The answer can be found in The Nationalism FAQ: nationalism is the philosophy that states that a nation is defined by an ethnic group. Germany for Germans, Nigeria for Nigerians, Japan for Japanese, Israel for Jews. At least he mentions homogeneity, but then again, when defined so vaguely, this could mean anything, such as “we’re all Christian.” Instead of focusing on these “rights” to exist and be free of invasion and immigration, it might have made more sense to focus on self-determination and the ability to exclude others, including those among us who are of our tribe but defective.

6. The Alt Right is anti-globalist. It opposes all groups who work for globalist ideals or globalist objectives.

Check! No problem here. However, since nationalism is the opposite of globalism, this one is somewhat redundant.

7. The Alt Right is anti-equalitarian. It rejects the idea of equality for the same reason it rejects the ideas of unicorns and leprechauns, noting that human equality does not exist in any observable scientific, legal, material, intellectual, sexual, or spiritual form.

Check! But why did it not mention the founding issue of the Left, which is class warfare? If one cannot admit the differences between castes and classes, we are back in French Revolution territory.

8. The Alt Right is scientodific. It presumptively accepts the current conclusions of the scientific method (scientody), while understanding a) these conclusions are liable to future revision, b) that scientistry is susceptible to corruption, and c) that the so-called scientific consensus is not based on scientody, but democracy, and is therefore intrinsically unscientific.

A thousand times no. The “scientific method” is deductive from material only, and misses out on both logical fact and any order beyond the material. This seems designed for the IFLScience crowd.

9. The Alt Right believes identity > culture > politics.

This cleverly sidesteps an issue: the Alt Right believes that race is upstream of culture and culture is upstream of politics.

10. The Alt Right is opposed to the rule or domination of any native ethnic group by another, particularly in the sovereign homelands of the dominated peoples. The Alt Right is opposed to any non-native ethnic group obtaining excessive influence in any society through nepotism, tribalism, or any other means.

Unfortunately, this language is painfully vague. Who is native, and to what? This sounds to me like a crypto-JQ statement, which misses the point that what destroys nations is collapse from within, and scapegoating the outsider misses the culpability we have for selecting egalitarianism, as every collapsing civilization seems to do.

11. The Alt Right understands that diversity + proximity = war.

This is one of those catchphrases that sounds good but does not express the whole truth: diversity = civilization collapse, with the recognition that diversity (a synonym for “multiculturalism” or its French Revolutionary equivalent, “internationalism” as later expressed by “workers of the world, unite!”) means the mixing of different ethnic groups into one nation-state.

12. The Alt Right doesn’t care what you think of it.

While technically correct, this statement reeks of teenage bluster, and misses the real point: unlike demotic movements, the Alt Right affirms that what is actual and real is more important than collective opinion, and that only some can perceive with higher degrees of accuracy, so we follow them in a hierarchical order instead of trying some crowd-sourced “find the truth through our navels” type democratic event.

13. The Alt Right rejects international free trade and the free movement of peoples that free trade requires. The benefits of intranational free trade is not evidence for the benefits of international free trade.

No objections here. However, it might be wiser to take the broader approach and point out that culture is more important than commerce. What is efficient and profitable is not always good, and so while we are believers in free markets, we recognize that no free market exists without a culture and those standards come first. Pornography, drugs, and gadgets for idiots are profitable; they are not desirable, at least on a wide scale.

14. The Alt Right believes we must secure the existence of white people and a future for white children.

Point number fourteen is David Lane’s fourteen words. No objections here other than the reek of white nationalism which seeks to reduce our national identities to “white,” which only seems sensible when one lives in a mixed-ethnic state. Nationalism covers this topic well enough: we want to survive, and the only way to do that is to show up for the future through our descendants.

15. The Alt Right does not believe in the general supremacy of any race, nation, people, or sub-species. Every race, nation, people, and human sub-species has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, and possesses the sovereign right to dwell unmolested in the native culture it prefers.

This is roughly a summary of the Pan-Nationalism project that I and other CORRUPT/Amerika writers launched back in the early 2000s. No disagreement here.

16. The Alt Right is a philosophy that values peace among the various nations of the world and opposes wars to impose the values of one nation upon another as well as efforts to exterminate individual nations through war, genocide, immigration, or genetic assimilation.

A smart politician, the author offers an olive branch to the Left. At first this statement seems (emotionally) appealing until one realizes that it commits us to being world peacemakers to end ethnic conflict between other groups. A saner statement is that we represent our own interests only, and the rest of the world needs to take care of itself. Altruism is dead.

He reaches a clearer statement here:

The great line of demarcation in modern politics is now a division between men and women who believe that they are ultimately defined by their momentary opinions and those who believe they are ultimately defined by their genetic heritage.

In doing so, while engaging in smart politics, he creates a great error. As Evola noted, race is tripartite, consisting of body, mind and spirit. We are defined first by our genetic heritage and more importantly, genetic interests, but also our ability to uphold the tenets and purpose of Western Civilization.

We are not democrats; not everyone is acceptable and destined to be included, even if they are of the “right” heritage. Only those who can do what is necessary to rebuild Western Civilization are welcome because there are many degenerates and sociopaths among us, and there is no need to include those.

The problem with the Alt Lite is that it represents “good enough”: a series of patches to democracy to keep it afloat, when our downfall began with the idea of egalitarianism and any vestige of that which we retain will re-create the same conditions that brought us to our current state. We must get to the root of the problem and remove that or we simply repeat history, which the Alt Lite seems to favor.

Again, the Alt Lite misses the point: the Alt Right is designed as an alternative to both mainstream conservatism and blockheaded White Nationalism. If we wanted blockhead white nationalism, we would have simply joined those groups. We want a more far-reaching purpose in the restoration of Western Civilization, and the Alt Lite is another “good enough” that stands in our way.

Alt Lite Guys Continue To Misunderstand The Alt Right

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017

Alt Right ideas arose not together, but separately, and were melded only by the collective failure of the Left, mainstream Right and underground Right (“1488”) to address the problem of civilization decline. As a result, a new movement arose that wanted not just to beat back immediate threats, but to put Western Civilization back on track to greatness.

Since that thought is apparently both too abstract and too long-term for all but a few of us, the Alt Right finds itself surrounded by a miasma of confusion as people debate its meaning, even when that meaning is right in front of them. Witness, for example, Alt Lite superstar Fred Reed stumbling toward an understanding of the Alt Right:

For people who have better things to do than study abnormal psychology, the players are briefly as follows: Something called the Alt-Right that believes the white race to be superior and wants to rid the country of of encroaching dark scum.

For readers of this site, of course, that elicits a collective groan. Why? Mr. Reed has made the same mistake that The New York Times tends to make and for ideological reasons, likes to make: he has confused the Alt Right with white nationalism, despite the fact that the Alt Right was founded to get away from white nationalism to something more functional.

Because of this, he finds himself arguing from a Leftist position:

The Human Biodiversity movement, HBD, more scientific and less surly but picking whites while conceding that yellow are smarter. Finally IQists, who believe that IQ is a reliable measure of genetic intelligence. They too put yellows as more intelligent.

If we decide that all humans belong in the same society, then we should rank them by IQ and choose Asians as the masters of that society. Right? He misses the point of the Alt Right and nationalism: we do not care how smart they are, nor do we hate them like a white nationalist (spit) would. We care only that they are Other, and we need them gone so that we can nurture what is Us.

He is caught in the old “we have to make one world order for everyone” thinking, where the Alt Right has decentralized its thinking. We know that no order will work for everyone, and that we — Western Europeans, the genetic component of Western Civilization — must find our own path by excluding all Other, whether we like them or not (and most of us like some or many of them).

As a result, Mr. Reed is fighting a phantasm of his own mind, what the kids on in the internet call a “strawman.” The Alt Right he describes is not the Alt Right by any plausible definition, although all the Leftist newspapers like The New York Times really like his definition.

Since his precepts were erroneous, the rest of the article constitutes little more than error. As with most Alt Lite writers, Mr. Reed specializes in taking a simple concept and expanding it emotionally while condensing it intellectually, which makes his readers feel “in control” of the knowledge domain and therefore, content with their own wisdom vis-a-vis that of their peers.

Onward to the next logical contradiction and stumbling block of the Alt Lite, we find Vox Day, who as a Caucasian-Mexican-Amerind hybrid believes himself capable of offering ethnic commentary without retribution by the Leftist horde, probably hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dr. David A. Yeagley. He understands some of where Mr. Reed is wrong, but then compounds the error:

That being said, the fact that so many diverse population groups observably prefer white cultures and societies to their own does tend to indicate the objective superiority of those cultures and societies.

Unlike Fred, the Alt-Right understands that both average intelligence and the maximum elite intelligence are merely factors in the success of a society, factors that are heavily influenced by other cultural and genetic elements, such as Christianity, time expectations, and in-group trust.

Here we go again with the Alt Lite mantra: you can have your equality and democracy, just as long as you add in thinly-disguised racial preference. This is why Vox Day is more popular than this site; he offers you the mainstream lie, just in another form, so that you can believe this society will turn out fine with just a few little tweaks.

First, the idea that many people prefer something and therefore it is better is broken thinking and de facto democracy. On the contrary, what most people prefer is almost always a simplistic lie. What he has identified is the tendency of groups to prefer easy answers, and they find emigrating to the West far, far easier than fixing their own broken third-world societies.

Next, he wants to suggest that if we just become Christians, lower our time preference and become nationalist, all will work out fine. In other words, democracy is working smoothly, equality is still in effect, and there is no reason to change paradigm at all, because with these few self-help-ish suggestions, we can make our rotted modern society work.

This, too, is Alt Lite. Like the mainstream conservatives, they want to patch a leaky boat and present it to you as brand new, and this is very popular because it does not force people out of their comfort zones. They can keep watching television and eating chicken nuggets in oblivious contentment.

Just like the Republicans, he offers a simple enemy and a simple solution, and then ignores the reasons we got to this point in the first place. The Alt Right recognizes that The Enlightenment™ is bunk and therefore equality is bunk and we need to move on from democracy. The Alt Lite, like the GOP, refuses to acknowledge this at all.

Perhaps it is time to assert this dividing line even more ferociously. The Alt Right belongs to those who are no longer entranced by the illusion of equality; we recognize hierarchy and caste, and seek an escape from modernity entirely. The Alt Lite are sellers of cheeseburgers, telling us that we can fix up modernity with a few mods and everything will be fine.

Of course we cannot do that. Modernity is cursed by its basic ideas being paradoxical and therefore anti-realistic. We must move on from this dying time by ripping it out by the root, not trimming away a few symptoms and declaring the patient cured. If you wonder why the Alt Lite seems so easy and yet so unconvincing, these two examples should demonstrate why.

Alt-Lite Versus Alt Right

Saturday, January 28th, 2017

The Alt Right rose as an alternative to a Leftist-hybrid mainstream conservatism and a pathological underground conservatism absorbed by directionless neo-Nazis both. As a result, it knows more of what it dislikes than what it likes, and has struggled to define itself despite an incipient sense of general direction.

This has caused tension with the Alt Lite, who are also seeking an alternative but base their objections in the Leftist ideal of equality, expressed in freedom of speech and association, following the vein of the Libertarian wing of the Right. This periodically explodes into factionalism and virtue signaling as the Alt Lite tries to both reject the path of modern civilization, and hang on to its core ideas:

“The reality is, if you force everyone to play identity politics, if you insist in pitting whites against blacks, women against men, straights against gays, the reality is you guys are gonna win and the left isn’t going to like it very much,” declared MILO. “But there’s a better way. Don’t fight identity politics with identity politics.”

“White pride, white nationalism, white supremacy isn’t the way to go,” he continued. “The way to go is reminding them and yourselves that you should be aspiring to values and to ideas.”

“You should be focusing on what unites people and not what drives them apart,” MILO concluded.

While the Alt Lite has done much good, namely by forcing the Left to abandon its double standard on free speech, it also misses the point: all politics is identity politics because each group represents its own interests. People are altruistic in name only because public altruism wins them virtue signaling points, which enables them to act for the self-interest of their group but in covert ways.

Currently humanity finds itself in a struggle between first world and third world. The first world has advanced its level of learning, technology and social organization and consequently finds itself wealthy and powerful, with high average IQ populations and smoothly functioning institutions, or at least it did until the Leftist takeover following the First World War.

The third world on the other hand never produced these functional behaviors, and so remained mired in self-destructive behavior, as is exemplified by the constant graft, theft, bribery, assault and vandalism that is the norm in those societies, which have low average IQ populations.

In order to acknowledge this struggle, we must first see that each group acts in self-interest. Using that reasoning, we can see that neither are first world multiculturalists altruists, nor are immigrants coming to be “assimilated.”

They are coming to conquer. That they use passive means — moving in, demanding society adjust to them, and reproducing until they can vote themselves into power — does not matter, nor does it matter that they do not consciously intend these things. Their presence, whether they mean it or not, amounts to an invasion.

For this reason, those who reject identity politics are in turn rejecting the uncomfortable reality of politics, which is that it is a racial construct more than anything else. Ideology does not replace self-interest; it is merely used to cloak it while convenient and then discarded. The West will destroy itself by accepting ideology at face value.

We know that the Alt Right wants to navigate between cuck and sperg, or the two extremes of the Right, with “cuck” being the Leftist hybrids in the Republican party and “sperg” being the people who seem to delight in racial cruelty on the White Nationalist front. Neither is a functional model.

In fact, the Alt Right represents a third path: recognize that what the spergs talk about is part of the truth even if it is socially taboo, but that we can understand it in a logical/factual and not emotional/personal way. Further, that while the cucks are clearly broken, any political movement will have to focus on keeping civilization as functional as possible.

The Alt Lite wants us to see two divisions: real conservatism and identity politics. There are in fact three divisions, with identity politics being present in the third, but not the whole of what it is about; while the spergs fixate on race (and Jews) the Alt Right takes a more realistic view, which is to acknowledge that all parties act in self-interest and to unite the self-interest of our leaders with our self-interest as a tribe.

Everyone is lying to you. The mainstream Right wants you to think that respectable politics cannot recognize racial and ethnic self-interest. The White Nationalists want you to think that politics is limited to that issue. And the Alt Lite comes in on the side of the mainstream Right by pretending that we can fix the current system with more “muh freedom” and “muh equality.”

Conservatism failed as a movement, not as an idea, because the movement drifted away from the idea as the West drifted Leftward in the fervor to be anti-conservative (including nationalism and resistance to moral relativism) after the First World War. The idea has always been consistent, but its public face was modified to make it more accepting of Leftism so that Leftists would accept it.

However, now we know that there is no bargaining with Leftism or any other form of cognitive error. They act to destroy us, and will call us Nazis whether we advance a moderate idea or a radical one. Their goal is to enforce a Leftist takeover of the West by constantly pushing the public debate Leftward, so that at some point they can include conservatives entirely.

While it does not have a formalized platform, the Alt Right comprises a clear set of ideas inherited from its roots in libertarianism, the New Right, nationalism, Neoreaction, red pill and traditionalist communities. It knows what it wants, but that path does not involve either the mainstream Right or the underground Right.

The Alt Right is part of the same cultural movement that propelled Donald Trump to victory, and this cultural wave is a rejection of Leftism and affirmation of realism, including the fact that all groups act in self-interest. We have had enough of ideology; it is time for sanity, adaptation to reality, and a civilization oriented toward being good and thriving instead of using itself as a means-to-an-end to achieve world Leftism, or “globalism.”

It can win when it takes a third path. It does not need the dead notions of “White pride, white nationalism, [and] white supremacy” as Milo notes, but a revitalized nationalism. It does not need totalitarianism, nor democracy. It needs to provide a path out of the ruin of modernity, starting with the assumption of human equality, but it cannot stop there.

The Alt Right thrives when it provides a vision of what it wants in concert with what it rejects. The modern order of liberal democracy has failed; we want a traditionalist society with strong nationalism, based in realism and not humanism, and we barely know what it looks like… yet. All previous Right-wing orders have failed, and only the Alt Right remains; now is our time to dream.

Why The Alt Lite Must Die

Saturday, January 14th, 2017

While abiding by the idea of “no punching to the right,” the Alt Right can and should evict the Alt Lite from its position because the Alt Lite represents entryism into the Alt Right which will eventually turn it as cucked as mainstream conservatives, again driving realists into underground extremist groups because their views cannot be publicly aired.

The Alt Lite consists of those who, responding to the incursion of the new Red Guard (SJWs) have spoken up in favor of free speech and freedom of association, served a highly useful purpose at first. It beat back the Leftist assault by appealing to neutral grounds, namely defense of liberty and freedom of thought. However, in doing so, it became popular with fence-sitters.

Fence-sitters understand the failure of Leftism but are unwilling to commit themselves to actions which would move us away from Leftism, preferring to patch up the leaky ship by creating more laws, rules and standards to try to avoid the normal situation, which is where the mob destroys any who deviate from its dogma. This will not work because the mob will only grow more powerful unless directly opposed.

In doing so, the Alt Lite have made themselves into a mirror image of mainstream conservatives, the so-called “RINOs” and “cucks.” The Alt Lite thinks it can work within the current system despite that system always rewarding what is popular, and what is popular always reflecting the combined fear of the herd instead of the best possible solutions for the long-term.

This causes civilization to die by internal toxicity, essentially piling up dysfunction until it reaches a crucial threshold and the resulting herd tantrum changes authority, almost always shifting toward more extreme and less responsible parties.

As astute readers may recall, the Alt Right has — forgive this — mixed heritage. It combines elements of the French New Right, anarcho-capitalism and libertarianism, paleoconservatism and social conservatism, Neoreaction, Traditionalism, National Socialism and Nietzschean conservatism. As a result, members tend to come in on one of these themes, and shape their further thinking according to that framework.

Libertarianism — originally called “classical liberalism” — is the notion that despite the advent of the Leftist state, the productive citizens can defend themselves with laws and so hold on to their wealth despite the clamor of a mob that demands what they have. As Plato tells us, this is a failing gambit:

When discord arose, then the two races were drawn different ways: the iron and brass fell to acquiring money and land and houses and gold and silver; but the gold and silver races, not wanting money but having the true riches in their own nature, inclined towards virtue and the ancient order of things. There was a battle between them, and at last they agreed to distribute their land and houses among individual owners; and they enslaved their friends and maintainers, whom they had formerly protected in the condition of freemen, and made of them subjects and servants; and they themselves were engaged in war and in keeping a watch against them.

…Do not their leaders deprive the rich of their estates and distribute them among the people; at the same time taking care to reserve the larger part for themselves?

Why, yes, he said, to that extent the people do share.
And the persons whose property is taken from them are compelled to defend themselves before the people as they best can?

As he reveals in this short passage, society begins its decline when it reverses its thought: instead of focusing itself on doing what is right and excellent, it becomes oriented toward whatever is popular and profitable, and from within that narrow range chooses an ersatz right upon which it bases its new direction. This might be analogous to Republicans.

At that point, the civilization begins a descent into democracy. When the herd has gained enough power, they demand the wealth of others, who defend themselves through an attempt at oligarchy, but in doing so, create the groundwork for tyranny, which occurs when the tyrants realize they can unite the drones against the productive. This describes libertarians in the age of Obama and Merkel.

The Alt Righters who descend from libertarians tend to be like this. They want to avoid Leftism by refusing to fund the Leftist state and asserting their own right to “liberty” and “freedom.” They forget that this was the default condition of America, but that in less than a century, this principle was replaced by obligation to the herd.

Libertarianism likes to think that markets regulate society. While this is more accurate than the idea that political questions are the sum total of what regulates society, it misses the point: a civilization is an ecosystem with several paths to power, of which economics is one, and therefore as soon as the productive retreat into libertarianism, the other paths become more important and are used to take down the productive.

This is how we got to our present state from our libertarian origins, both in Europe and America, which were themselves a response to the collapse of feudalism as rising populations overwhelmed the old order. The West succeeded and, by doing so, it failed, which happened a crucial time when it was recording from plagues and invasions and trying to find a new purpose, its old one being exhausted with having achieved success.

While libertarianism may slow the decline in the short term, it will be eventually overwhelmed, and it does not attempt the most important role of the Alt Right, which is pushing Western Civilization toward renewal by choosing a direction other than our current moribund path. Revisiting Plato:

When discord arose, then the two races were drawn different ways: the iron and brass fell to acquiring money and land and houses and gold and silver; but the gold and silver races, not wanting money but having the true riches in their own nature, inclined towards virtue and the ancient order of things.

The only path out of decline is to choose another path, and this will fit the pattern of the gold and silver races. Instead of thinking backward, namely justifying our decisions by what we think will make us wealthy and popular, we must strive for what is right and ensure that doing that makes people wealthy enough or at least comfortable. Only then do we escape decline.

For this reason, the Alt Lite must die. They impede the actual path of the Alt Right and replace it, much as the other cucks do, with a temporary path that is popular because it is easy. The only ideas that become popular are those which flatter the individuals in the herd. Those individuals are driven by personal fear, but by forming a group, they hide this selfish motivation behind grand-sounding ideologies.

Because of this intent toward destruction of the actual goal of the Alt Right, and its replacement with an easy and popular answer that avoids the vital question of Western resurrection, the Alt Lite constitutes entryism into the Alt Right. It subverts the idea which makes the Alt Right unique, which is a willingness to say the truth about the fall of Western Civilization and how to resurrect it, and replaces it with a scapegoat and an excuse to do little. The Alt Lite, if unchecked, will assimilate and destroy the Alt Right.

The only solution to this is for the Alt Right to leave the Alt Lite behind. They served a useful role in getting us started, but now our paths diverge. The Alt Lite wants to go live with the neckbeards, cucks and RINOs, and the Alt Right wants to forge ahead into brave new uncharted waters where there is a potential for actually ending these problems and creating a great civilization anew.

For us to do this, we must demonstrate competence in some way as a means of showing that we are not another ideological party — those with strong opinions based on human intent, but no real-world utility, and by that nature, a tendency to exclude realism in favor of ideological goals — and that we offer something to the average Western citizen on the path to Western restoration.

We cannot achieve this competence with the Alt Lite in tow. The instant we create something, they will dumb it down much as the Republicans did to conservatism, and then on a wave of popularity carrying it away. They will thus steal our victory but retain our brand, and so when the project fails, will then let us take the blame.

Instead, it is time for the Alt Right to come into its own. It needs its own organizations, publishers, radio, magazines, businesses and if possible, communities. It needs to show that its ideas work by implementing them in the simplest and least disruptive ways, and then showing that those work, before it moves on past the Alt Lite and all others who wish to stay marooned in this time of collapse and decay.
