Dude. Please tell me you are kidding. The ingredients have changed. The chemicals have changed. Are you out of you twenties yet? I'm only asking. Oh, and Oreos do still taste the same.

Actually Coca Cola has indeed changed in North America. Ever since the mid-80s U.S and Canadian Coke has been made with high fructose corn syrup instead of cane sugar. Since moving here from Europe I have stopped drinking it altogether as it gives me a sickening aftertaste. When I go back to Europe for visits I always enjoy their crisp Coke without the aftertaste.

I heard someone quoting someone else recently:

"Frosties are Corn Flakes for people who can't face reality".

Sums up my post pretty succinctly.

Hi Alver - you don't like veggies much? How come?

I would suggest following, loosely at first, the Paleo diet. Focus on fruits, berries, TREE nuts (not cashews, or other legumes), and lots of dark leafy greens & veggies, and avoid most dairy (except the occasional sprinkling of cheese or maybe a home made pizza once in a while). Use olive oil where your distaste for vegetables is too much at first. I eat fresh fruit for breakfast now, a salad with carrots, lettuce, almonds, maybe a can of tuna, etc. for lunch, and then eat a pretty decent dinner (sometimes including some carbs, or maybe just some sauteed chicken and spinach, or salmon, etc.). It takes some discipline but once your body gets used to not having as much dairy, fat, and processed junk, your body will thank you for it. Take in as much fiber as you can as well, even using metamucil if you need to; this has some great health benefits too.

Try to find a local vegan eatery... or recipes online that have converted some dish you enjoy into something healthier.

The easier alternative for some is to befriend a chef.

I have always had a pretty narrow view of what i eat (dont like vegetables much) so i was wondering if there are any healthy suggestions of things that might taste good, although i have found some interesting recipes of Finnish cuisine. Looking for new dishes to try.
