I wonder if there isn't some good behind the infamous 1984 line, "war is peace, ignorance is strength, freedom is slavery". As you've already shown, freedom is slavery in a way. Maybe war is peace because it unites a country of too many different people doing too many different things. And maybe ignorance is strength because the more you know, the more you realize how little you know, so ignorance is bliss. But that's just me thinking.

Pity no-one wants to be enlightened. I have yet to figure out my sub-species and it's sick thirst for self enslavement. Noone wants to so much as cook a meal or go outside "cause the bugs might bite me". Most of the "open minders" I've run into are total fakes, shills and used snake-oil salesman. Many of the ones who aren't refuse to take a stand.

Fuck 'em. At least we've still got our potential energy coupled with the will to use it wisely.

I'm not a troll. I'm a counter-troll. My purpose is to show all the people who tease Animals and "crazy people" as well as Autists, Epileptics and Children who do so "because it's funny" that the wounded feral carry a grudge forever.

Essentially, I want to show people that "the box" is just an illusion.

I'm actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know me. Pure Love.

I just love the only way I know how to: Totally or not at all.

Soul of Iron, Skin of Silk, Blood of Fire.

"Freedom" didn't fail. People did by setting a series of impossible goals.

Great Article, Mr. Stevens. You've really been kicking it into polyphase as of late.

Something that I found interesting from the name NYT article:

"They found that people who identified themselves as liberals attached great weight to the two moral systems protective of individuals — those of not harming others and of doing as you would be done by. But liberals assigned much less importance to the three moral systems that protect the group, those of loyalty, respect for authority and purity.

Conservatives placed value on all five moral systems but they assigned less weight than liberals to the moralities protective of individuals.

Dr. Haidt believes that many political disagreements between liberals and conservatives may reflect the different emphasis each places on the five moral categories.

Take attitudes to contemporary art and music. Conservatives fear that subversive art will undermine authority, violate the in-group’s traditions and offend canons of purity and sanctity. Liberals, on the other hand, see contemporary art as protecting equality by assailing the establishment, especially if the art is by oppressed groups.

Extreme liberals, Dr. Haidt argues, attach almost no importance to the moral systems that protect the group. Because conservatives do give some weight to individual protections, they often have a better understanding of liberal views than liberals do of conservative attitudes, in his view."

Possible interpretation:

Conservatism = holistic or long-term thinking

Liberalism = collective selfishness
